Howdy, all!
Just put the Highway Hawk Fwd controls on my bike. VERY nice! You wouldn't think 4 inches could make such a big difference, but it does! I've also found that my shift seems to work better (more "positively" shifting- if that makes sense!).
One word of caution, though, the set came with replacements for the enging mount bolts (used to hold the footpeg assemblies to the frame). I broke one of them while trying to apply the torque settings in the book. I'm not sure what the problem was, but suffice to say that you should be careful!
Anyway, I wanted to pass along the name and website for the guys I bought them from. They were a first class operation all the way: even though they were all the way across the pond (Netherlands) all my e-mails got responses in 1 day or less, and the parts got here in THREE DAYS!!!! Compare that to our domestic Highway Hawk dealers!!!!! (to be fair, they did send my parts express) (but they didn't charge me for it because they said they wanted to see how long it would take!) They also speak English (well). I dealt with Henk Roukama and a guy named Dennis at Roukama Motorcycle Parts. Their website is below. Or you can e-mail them at "sales@roukama.com"
If you're looking at Highway Hawk stuff, you should give them a try.
Keep the shiny side up!
-Jim
